Tip of the week: Reporting Suspicious Activity
Have you ever seen something suspicious in your neighborhood, but did not report because you were too embarrassed, or felt law enforcement would not be concerned? The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station takes ALL calls very seriously. If you see a suspicious person, vehicle, or hear something that concerns you, we want you to call us. Deputies will respond to your request as soon as possible. In the event that we contact someone and there is no crime, that’s not a problem. Better safe than sorry. So if you see or hear something that you think isn’t quite right, it probably isn’t. Call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121 (or 911 if you think it is an emergency) and Deputies will respond. Posting concerns on Facebook, Twitter, or sending e-mails to your zone leader is not effective as we usually see those posts far after the incident has occurred.
