Update on Aliso Canyon

Last week SoCalGas requested regulatory approval from the State of California to bring 29 of the 114 wells at the Aliso Canyon natural gas storage facility back online. We are working with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure that all guidelines and procedures are being followed during this process and that the safety of the surrounding community remains the top priority. As this process moves forward we will continue to update my website with more information as it becomes available.

Fighting for Sand Fire Assistance

One week ago we sent a letter to Governor Brown asking the state to use funds from an existing block grant to support efforts to repair damages caused by the Sand Fire in Santa Clarita. The Sand Fire was devastating for many in our community, and we must act to ensure they have the assistance they need as quickly as possible. Read more here.

Thank you, Rose Koscielny!

On Tuesday my staff, with other community leaders, recognized Rose Koscielny for her 21 years of service and dedication to the Saugus Union School District as a board member. We thank her for all she has done for the Saugus Union School District and its families. Best wishes for a long and happy retirement!
