College of the Canyons sophomore first baseman Kiana Holder has been named a 2016 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) California Junior College All-American after a season in which she batted at a .465 clip.
Holder, who was also named to the 2016 CCCAA All-SoCal Regional Team, topped COC in RBIs (54) and home runs (nine) while starting all 46 games for the Cougars.
Of her team-high 67 hits, 23 were of the extra base variety.

Her performance helped Canyons (32-14, 19-2) win the program’s 14th Western State Conference (WSC), Blue Division Championship.
The No. 6 seeded Cougars then defeated No. 11 Moorpark College in the opening round of the CCCAA SoCal Regional Playoffs, before being eliminated by Mt. SAC in the double-elimination SoCal Super Regional round.
