An Agua Dulce woman has died as a result of injuries she sustained when struck by an alleged drunk driver Saturday night.
According to a CHP report, the victim, Lori Lindlief, 56, and her fiance were walking their dogs on Mabana Street near the Agua Dulce Airpark around 8 p.m. when a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado came up behind her and hit her.
Lindlief sustained major injuries including a head wound and difficulty breathing. She was airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where she later died, hospital officials confirmed.
The pickup truck driver was identified as Dennis Keene, 63, of Agua Dulce. The CHP report said Keene failed to see Lindlief because he was intoxicated.
Keene was arrested at the scene on suspicion of felony drunk driving. The subsequent death of the victim will yield additional charges.
