Grant funding is still available to Santa Clarita Valley-based nonprofit organizations for one-time projects, program enhancements and pilot programs thanks to the City of Santa Clarita’s Community Services Grant Program. Grants up to $5,000 will be rewarded to projects that best serve and benefit the community.
Although the meeting for bidders has already occurred, applications for interested nonprofits are still available at the Santa Clarita Activities Center. Applicants should organize their project around this year’s theme of, “Community Benefit.” Past funding has included equipment upgrades, after school enrichment programs, facility renovation projects, and the purchase of vehicles to transport food to families in need.
Grant proposals must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the Activities Center, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.
For more information on the City’s Community Services Grant Program, including required materials, submission guidelines and more, contact Janine Prado, City Community Services Administrator, at 661-250-3716.
