Jarrod Cline will return for his third year as leader of the Storm, Futbol Club Santa Clarita’s professional men’s soccer team.
Cline started in with FCSC in 2010 before it was even FCSC. At the time it was based in the Antelope Valley where it was known as the Lancaster Rattlers of the United Soccer Leagues. Cline followed the transition in 2011 to the Santa Clarita Valley, where the club joined the National Primer Soccer Leagues.
Cline and the fledgling Storm finished 2011 with a 3-11 record.
Cline played soccer at Palmdale High School and eventually coached the school’s boys varsity squad, posting a 112-37-16 overall record with two Golden League championship appearances. His players have moved on to Taft College, UC Irvine, Kansas Wesleyan University, Cal State Los Angeles, Cal Baptist University and College of the Canyons – as well as professional teams including Atlas of the Mexican Professional League, the Portland Timbers, Rochester Rhinos, and of course the FCSC Storm.
