The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced a new coaching staff under manager Don Mattingly for the 2013 season, and it includes former Canyon Cowboys head baseball coach Chuck Crim.
Crim will be the new bullpen coach for the Dodgers.
Crim pitched with three different teams in the major leagues from 1987 to 1994, including the Angels. His best years ere from 1987 to 1991 with the Milwaukee Brewers where he led the American League in games pitched both in 1988 and 1989 and was voted “Top Set-Up Man” by Sporting News Magazine.
The Los Angeles native coached the Cowboys in 2004 and 2005, leaving the program to become a scout with the Dodgers.
He is one of three new coaches for the Dodgers in 2013. Mark McGwire will be the new hitting coach and John Valentin the assistant hitting coach.
