The American Legion Riders Chapter 507 are selling lapel pins to support Post 507’s events for military veterans.

The pins measure 1 inch by 1 inch and cost $5 each. They can be purchased through the 507 Riders’ website, http://alr507.org, or by e-mail, pins@alr507.org.

Perons who order 25 or more pins and who are within riding distance of Post 507 in Newhall can get them delivered, weather permitting.

    A few Santa Clarita Valley school districts cancelled classes for Thursday, Jan. 23 due to an abundance of caution because of the Hughes Fire. With the lifting of mandatory evacuation orders, and the movement of the fire away from the SCV, back-to-school notifications have been issued, with a few exceptions, for Friday, Jan. 24.
