Twenty-eight volunteers, along with city staff, recently gathered to help beautify sidewalk landscaping on Alaminos Drive in Saugus.
Their work consisted of removing trash, weeds, and old soil along with spreading more than 25 cubic yards of decorative mulch along the 800-foot parkway.
When the work was completed, 15 trash bags were filled. The service project was a great success and local residents approached city staff to express their appreciation for a job well done.

Awesome to see the city and residents doing something instead of just complaining

Love this we need more of this… Would have loved to been there, I only live blocks away…
This is what makes Valencia a special place to live. Volunteers everywhere. Thank you volunteers for caring and your hard work.
It’s been dirt for 48 years. Used to make jumps there on our bicycles.
The city should have done this years ago! Most landscaping money goes to Valencia except the $s they make new builders pay for landscaping near the building sight. Example: Sierra hwy! It’s a bit better after 50 years. Yes, it’s a state hwy but Santa Clarita is paid to maintain it! Good job neighbors.pride in ownership!
