Saugus: Zone 4
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the Week of 09/14/15 – 09/20/2015
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Crime Prevention Unit
A petty theft was reported from a business on Seco Canyon Road. In this incident, a male suspect used the employee bathroom at the location. A few hours later the victim discovered that her wallet had been stolen from the employee bathroom area. Several of the victim’s credit cards had been used after the theft.
There was a theft from an unlocked vehicle reported from Rodgers Drive/Timothy Drive. The victim left her vehicle unlocked which allowed easy access to her vehicle. The suspect stole a Magic Mountain jacket and a riding helmet.
We have seen several theft from vehicles in the last few weeks. Most of these incidents could have been avoided if the victim had locked their car doors and removed valuable items from their vehicles. Please remember to lock your car doors to avoid becoming a victim of a property crime.
