Nine people suffered injuries from a three-vehicle collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road early Sunday morning.
The collision occurred near Dilon Canyon Road around 8:30 a.m.
A 24-year-old woman from Ventura was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer northbound on San Francisquito while a 59-year-old man from Palmdale was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry and a 54-year-old man from Santa Clarita was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson southbound, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officers believe the woman in the Explorer crossed over the double yellow lines while taking a curve and collided head on with the Camry, according to the report. The motorcyclist was “unable to avoid the now disabled vehicles directly in the front of his path and collided into them.”
A total of nine people were involved in the collision in three different vehicles. The Los Angeles County Fire Department landed two helicopters near the scene of the collision and airlifted five people — two to Northridge Medial Center and three to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Four others were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital by ambulance.
