The College of the Canyons women’s golf team competed at Western State Conference tournament No. 3 on Monday, with sophomore Amanda Horii turning in a team-best score of 86 at Elkins Ranch Golf Course.
Horii’s score ranked her just outside the top-10 in 11th place at the event, which featured 30 golfers representing seven schools.
COC freshman Aeleen Brott finished her day with a score of 92, while Nicole Vigil came in at 113.
Brott currently sits in eighth place in the WSC’s individual standings, with Horii just one stroke behind in ninth place through the first three events of the conference season.
Canyons will next compete at the two-day North-South Invitational being held Sept. 27-28, at Morro Bay Golf Course in Morro Bay.
