The Master’s University volleyball team’s overall season record improved to 13-5 after the Lady Mustangs beat Life Pacific University in three sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-17).
“The main focus of tonight’s match against Life Pacific was to strengthen our team play and continue to work on different formations that we hope to implement against some of our stronger opponents later this month,” assessed TMU head coach Allan Vince. “We tried different lineups tonight that allowed us to strengthen the depth of our roster. We also gave some rest to certain athletes in preparation for our bigger matches this week. The team performed well, and I think that we learned much about ourselves with this victory. Athletes of note were Reagan Tate on the outside and Autumn Stevens in the middle. They came in and did well.”
Morgan Koch paced the Lady Mustangs with eight kills, while Tate followed with seven. Kayla Sims tallied 27 assists, while Emily Clark notched 12 digs. Stevens finished the evening with four blocks and six kills.
On Thursday, the Lady Mustangs will return to GSAC play as TMU will travel to Fullerton for a 7:00 p.m. match against Hope International University.
