During the fall and winter seasons, the City of Santa Clarita will increase the frequency of street sweeping throughout all areas of the City beginning this week. Street sweeping will take place every week following trash pickup days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to help keep streets, and particularly gutters, clean and free of falling leaves and debris.
Residents are asked to do their part to increase the effectiveness of the citywide street sweeping by removing vehicles from the street during scheduled street sweeping days. Residents are also encouraged to keep the street clear of lawn and tree trimmings, trash, and debris, and remove portable basketball courts from the streets.
Additionally, it is important that residents do not pile or stack leaves in the street or in yards. All leafy debris should be placed in the green waste container supplied by the trash service provider. This is to ensure that the street sweeping equipment does not become plugged, which would result in delays in the street sweeping service.
Street sweeping will return to the monthly schedule on January 23, 2017. For more information, go to santa-clarita.com and search street sweeping for the scheduled daily sweeping routes or call the City’s Environmental Services Division at (661) 286-4098.

A waste if the vehicles are not off the street.
The guy driving around Creekside neighborhood at 4pm today was driving so fast all he did was create dust cloud everywhere
Thank you Santa Clarita! We were in the SFV yesterday and it was a pigsty! Trash piled in the street for blocks. That and the copious amount of graffiti reminded me again how grateful I am to live here.
I’m glad our city does this, but the drivers need to slow it down!
