Detectives from the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Taskforce arrested four individuals after conducting an undercover internet operation at a hotel in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Detectives arrested Peter Ghanem of Canyon Country, Salvador Buenrostro of Pacoima, Thomas Wilkerson of Winnetka and Mohammed Rahman of Van Nuys on charges of “288.4 (b) P.C.” after they agreed to exchange money for sex with a female they acknowledged to be between 14 and 16 years old.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Taskforce conducted an undercover internet operation at a local hotel in the Santa Clarita Valley. Detectives posted several ads on the internet sites Backpage.com and Craigslist.com, and when contacted by perspective sex buyers, represented themselves as underage female trafficking victims, between the ages of 14 and 16. The goal of the operation was to target those who attempt to exploit underage trafficking victims as well as impact the demand side of Human Trafficking.
Mohammed Rahman was additionally charged with Possessing a Controlled Substance (Ecstasy) which he intended to share with the underage female. All of the males were booked at Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station with a bail of $75,000. The males will be arraigned at San Fernando Court on May 1, 2017.
