LAKE ELSINORE – The Lancaster JetHawks tied the game with a five-run fifth inning, but the Lake Elsinore Storm immediately pulled back ahead and picked up an 11-7 win on Thursday night at The Diamond.
Outfielder David Dahl, who was playing in his second game with the JetHawks on a rehab assignment, went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two RBI.
His solo home run in the fourth inning tied the game, 2-2, but the Storm (44-47, 9-12) roared back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth against starter Trey Killian (6-6). Kyle Overstreet hit a three-run home run and Rod Boykin hit a solo shot in the frame.
Garrett Hampson singled and Dahl walked to load the bases for Yonathan Daza. Daza doubled in two runs to chase Storm starter Adrian De Horta from the game. Left-hander Jose Castillo came in from the bullpen and struck out Roberto Ramos but gave up a two-run, game-tying double to Sam Hilliard on the 11th pitch of the at-bat.
With the game knotted, 7-7, Killian returned to the mound for the bottom of the fifth. The first two batters reached base on hits and Carlos Polanco came on from the bullpen. Edwin Moreno greeted him with a three-run home run to put the Storm ahead, 10-7.
Killian’s was tagged for nine runs on nine hits over four innings. His second half record dropped to 0-4 in five starts.
Fernando Perez added a solo homer off Polanco in the sixth inning for Lake Elsinore’s 11th run.

The third game of the four-game series is set for Saturday night in Lake Elsinore. Jesus Tinoco (7-1) will start against Logan Allen (0-1). First pitch is 7 p.m.
