[KHTS] – A Castaic woman accused of setting her own house on fire pleaded no contest and was sentenced Jan. 22, officials said.
Kristy Lynn Henderson, 49, received credit for time served — a year in jail — and is to serve one year in a residential program to address mental health concerns.
She pleaded to an arson charge after officials accused her of setting her home on the 31200 block of Quail Valley Road on fire, around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 1, 2014.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested Henderson about 30 minutes after the fire was extinguished, according to official records.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department put out the fire in about 10 minutes, and officers estimated the damage at around $200,000.
She has been in custody since Jan. 1, 2014.
Henderson was being held in lieu of $45,000 bail at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood.
