Aron Emily Jacques

[KHTS] – A Santa Clarita horse trainer missed a morning hearing Wednesday  for charges in connection with the alleged mistreatment of horses in her care.

Aron Emily Jacques, 34, was due in a Lancaster court room for a pretrial hearing on nine charges — four felony counts of cruelty to an animal and five misdemeanor counts of failure to care for an animal.

The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control discovered horses starving on the defendant’s property in February 2014, the prosecutor said.

Each of the nine counts for the horse trainer pertain to a different horse that was housed in Leona Valley.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Daniel Rochmes.

The judge issued a bench warrant for Jacques, he said, but added the hearing could still take place this afternoon.

Two of the horses died and two had to be euthanized as a result of the defendant’s negligent care, the prosecutor said in a previous statement.

If convicted of all charges, she faces a maximum possible sentence of seven years and six months in prison to be served in local custody.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control.

Y can’t I get paid for being a voice???? So frustrating!! Will update when I hear in the am!

    • Rob E says:

Brittany you say you have lots of other cases going on and that you are the voice for the horses. You need to be on on some kind of medication. Are you a vet or just some self taught animal lover who likes to cause problems for people. Do you hear voices ?

  19. Shirley says:

an eye for an eye….what a POS.

  20. Next court date March 18th

    • Rob E says:

Brittany if you are such a horse lover why didnt you spend a little more time with your horse instead of waiting until the horse was sick. Even then you spend your time in court. Not with the horses. That way if you thought the horse was not being taken care of you could have moved the horse and saved his life rather than try to judge people and destroy there lives. Aron obviously cares and does alot more with animals than you ever have yet she gets her life ruined. You must feel really good about yourself. Try helping people. That would help animals more than what you do. You speak english not horse so stop kidding yourself. My one question to you is what makes you an expert on horses anyway ?

      • Aneeda Davoid says:

@ Rob E- Sounds as if you know Aron aka Aryn Jacques? I know both of the people you are speaking of here personally And the power tripping animal control officer. Aryn and most of them in this circle need a rehab program badly. I KNOW THIS, I’m not just assuming. Aryn’s ability to function normally with everyday things was replaced with getting loaded. Priorities change, lies, using people becomes normal. The horse industry “people” seem detached from the non-horse world. The ego and OCD thing magnified with drug use in an already dirty business? She screwed up- that’s a sad fact. I feel so bad for the poor horses. The 2 years she got was suspended for a drug program- that was good start. But by the 5th failure to appear the deal was dropped. She went to jail for 10 months. Now she’s out and back at it again but with a worse crowd. Violating daily playing the same games as before. She didn’t get the help she needs. She is more dangerous now. If investigated, I bet most of the people in that area would go to jail. Even the self appointed expert “working cases” without any credentials -but it sounds cool. If you’re part of the click in with the animal control office you’ll have less to worry about yourself. The city employee loves doing less work and the power trip by affiliation begins. Leave it to professionals that don’t have a personal attachment or goal other then fixing the problem correctly. and yes, take care of your own horse if that becomes an issue. Sad to say, more was going on here then just horses.

Hope theres a bench warrant and when found she is held to the stiffest end of THE LAW.. WHY IT TOOK 2 YEARS?
