Saugus: Zone 4
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 04/27/2015 to 05/03/2015
This past week in Zone 4, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
An assault with a deadly weapon occurred near the 28700 block of Placerview Trail. The victim and her sister got into a physical altercation at a local Valencia Bar. After being escorted out of the bar by security, the victim realized she misplaced her cell phone. The victim used her sister’s cell phone to locate her misplaced phone and saw it was located near the above location. The victim and her sister drove to where her cell phone was located and saw the suspect sitting in a vehicle with the engine running. The victim began making her way toward the suspect and the suspect quickly accelerated in reverse toward the victim striking her in the upper arm. The suspect sped away and left the location. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 27200 block of Elias Avenue. Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s garage and ransacked the inside while the victim was home in her room. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station detectives.
A commercial burglary occurred near the intersection of Whisper Mill Court and Newhall Ranch Road. Person(s) unknown burned a square block out of a storage container near the above location and stole a ladder and cordless drill from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 27500 block of Caraway Lane. Two suspects were seen by a neighbor taking the victim’s UPS package from the front of their residence. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station detectives.
