Canyon Country (East): Zone 8
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 04/27/15 to 05/03/2015
This past week in Zone 8 (East), the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
A residential burglary occurred near the 27500 block of Silver Oak Ln., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked residence and stole numerous items. The victim believed his cousin, who previously lived at the location, may be responsible for the theft. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 18000 block of Anne Cir., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s locked residence and stole numerous items. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 18300 block of Oak Cyn Rd., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s locked vehicle and stole numerous tools. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
An attempted vehicle burglary occurred near Sandy Dr., and Rock Rose Ln., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown attempted to make entry into the victim’s locked vehicle by smashing the passenger side rear window and attempting to pry the passenger door open. No items were stolen from the vehicle. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 26500 block of Cardinal Dr., Canyon Country. An unknown male suspect syphoned approximately one gallon of gas from the victim’s vehicle while parked at the location. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
A robbery occurred at a business near the 16500 block of Soledad Cyn Rd., Canyon Country. Suspects entered the location and committed a robbery by physical force. This incident is currently being investigated by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
**Vehicle and residential burglaries continue to be a reoccurring issue. As a reminder, do not leave your vehicle or residence unlocked or leave valuables inside your vehicle. Close and lock windows and doors even if you are making a quick stop or leaving your residence for a brief period. Be aware of your surroundings, and if you see someone who looks out of place, contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to report any suspicious persons or activities.**
