Canyon Country West: Zone 7
Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 04/20/2015 to 04/26/2015
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
A robbery occurred near the 27500 block of Whites Canyon Road. The victim let the suspect borrow his bicycle to buy some food. After a few hours the suspect never returned the bicycle. The victim began walking around the area in search for the suspect and his bicycle. The victim found the suspect in the above indicated area, and the two got into a physical altercation over the bicycle. During the altercation, the victims cell phone fell out of his pocket and the suspect pick it up and placed it in his pocket. During this altercation a witness called the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A residential burglary occurred near the 18700 block of Flying Tiger Drive. Suspect(s) unknown entered the victims residence by means unknown and stole jewelry from within. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. The victim left her purse in a parking lot near the above location. After a short time the victim returned to where she left her purse but was unable to locate it. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
A shoplifting occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect was arrested for taking store items without paying for them. During the investigation, Deputies found narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia on the suspect as well. The suspect was additionally charged for those crimes. This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
