Teens in Santa Clarita have a new, informative and interactive place to get information about news and events in their City with the City of Santa Clarita’s new website, TeenSCV.com. The site, which launched today, was developed for teens with input from teens to include the information they want most in a fun, interactive format.
The youth-oriented site serves as a portal for local teenagers to stay up-to-date on activities and events in Santa Clarita, including volunteer and employment opportunities, transit information, leadership committees and other teen-run clubs and groups. Teenagers looking for help in finding various Santa Clarita resources can use the website as a gateway to programs, local events and free happenings.
TeenSCV.com includes an interactive “Teen Shout Out” platform to showcase the many great things teens are doing in the City of Santa Clarita. Teens can also follow @TeenSCV on Twitter to share pics, stories, news and events with one another, with the top tweets of the week appearing on the Teen SCV homepage.
The City will host a #WinWednesday Twitter contest to celebrate the launch of TeenSCV.com with weekly giveaways for teens. A new contest tweet will be released every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., and will ask teens to answer trivia questions about TeenSCV.com for the chance to win prizes. The contest will be held Wednesday, November 12 through Wednesday, December 17. Winners will be announced weekly.
