Supervisor Janice Hahn will assume the role of Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The chair is a rotating role, and Supervisor Hahn will hold the position for the next year.

Hahn takes over the role previously held by Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.

At the beginning of the regularly scheduled board meeting Tuesday morning starting at 9:30, the Supervisors will recognize Kuehl’s leadership over the last year and will play a short video recounting many of her accomplishments.

Hahn will then deliver a short speech regarding her chairship and nominate Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger to be Chair Pro-Tem.
