Spring has sprung in Santa Clarita, and with it come several great events and programs for you and your family to enjoy.

The annual Earth Arbor Day Festival will be held Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Central Park.

Several themed zones at the Earth Arbor Day Festival will include an energy, community, eco, water conservation, children’s and alternative transportation Zone. Kid-friendly entertainment is scheduled for the Children’s Zone, where kids will be able to experience many fun and hands-on activities.

Visitors can also get a tour of the city’s Community Garden, with garden volunteers available for questions. Check it all out at www.santa-clarita.com.

Also in April, the city will host the 20th annual Cowboy Festival at the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio. The festival runs April 19-21, with partner events happening earlier in the week at venues throughout the area. This exciting Western festival is an amazing opportunity to visit a real, working movie ranch, located right here in our community. In Old Town Newhall, our “Thursdays in Newhall” events offer something every Thursday to enjoy. Don’t’ miss the weekly farmer’s market, the new Art Slam (interactive art event) on the first Thursday, and the popular Senses night on Main (street party) on the third Thursday.
