On Tuesday, July 26, and Wednesday, July 27, 2016, Golden Valley Road between Sierra Highway and Lost Canyon Road, and the State Route 14 on and off ramps will be subject to night closures between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. to accommodate roadway paving for the Golden Valley Road Bridge widening project.
A detour will be provided allowing local access to residential neighborhoods and the Plaza at Golden Valley during the closure.
At completion, the Golden Valley Road Bridge will have four travel lanes (two in each direction), one dedicated left turn lane to access the southbound State Route 14 and two left turn lanes to access the northbound State Route 14. This project will have also added a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the bridge and a pedestrian walkway and bike path on the south side of the bridge.
