The Pilgrim

PatsyAyala“My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.” — Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare

Love has a way of transforming a moment into a memory that lasts a lifetime. This spring, that magic rides into town in true western fashion as couples are invited to celebrate their love at Santa Clarita’s Cowboy Festival Wedding. Set beneath open skies and surrounded by the rustic beauty of the Cowboy Festival, this one-of-a-kind celebration offers couples the chance to say “I do” in a setting that feels both timeless and unforgettable.

Imagine dusting off your boots, taking your partner’s hand in front of the historic Ramona Chapel and exchanging vows beneath the beautiful oak trees of William S. Hart Park. With sounds of live country music filling the air, loved ones will gather close as couples begin their next chapter together. On Saturday, April 18, the Cowboy Festival Wedding will bring romance, tradition and community spirit together in a way that only Santa Clarita can.

Designed for couples who appreciate the cowboy way of life, the Cowboy Festival Wedding package offers a meaningful and thoughtful experience. Each couple will enjoy a dedicated thirty-minute time slot for their special ceremony, allowing time to fully savor the moment. The package also includes a marriage license, an officiated ceremony and a professional photo session to capture memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Beyond the ceremony itself, couples and their guests will be immersed in the full Cowboy Festival experience. Each participating couple will receive two VIP passes to the festival, complimentary shuttle service, VIP seating at the MANE Stage and access to the exclusive VIP Cantina, where drinks and snacks will be provided by Lucky Luke Brewing. To commemorate the occasion, couples will also receive two official Cowboy Festival T-shirts, a keepsake from a day they will never forget.

From mouthwatering barbecue and live entertainment to the warmth of community celebration, the Cowboy Festival Wedding is more than just a ceremony. It is an experience that honors love, tradition and the joy of coming together. I am proud that our city continues to offer creative and inclusive ways for couples to celebrate life’s most meaningful milestones through our City Hall Ceremonies program.

Hundreds of loving couples have tied the knot through Santa Clarita’s City Hall Ceremonies. The City Clerk’s Office is proud to offer award-winning wedding services. Marriage licenses are issued throughout the week and wedding ceremonies are held on the first and second Fridays of each month.

Couples interested in tying the knot at the Cowboy Festival Wedding are encouraged to secure their spot by booking an appointment through the official wedding website at SantaClarita.gov/Weddings. As a special incentive, the first two couples to sign up will receive a complimentary photo shoot at Tesoro Adobe Historic Park. I invite couples to join us this April and begin their life together surrounded by the beauty, cowboy spirit and heart of Santa Clarita. For more information, please visit SantaClarita.gov/Weddings or call (661) 286-4073.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role as City Manager is connecting with our community and sharing the stories behind the people, projects and services that make Santa Clarita such a great place to live, work and play.

As you step into William S. Hart Park, the sights and sounds of the Old West come alive. The rhythm of boots shuffling across the dance floor, the unmistakable aroma of Dutch oven peach cobbler drifting through the mesquite-scented air and the ringing of a blacksmith’s hammer all echo a time when Santa Clarita’s hills and valleys were shaped by cowboys living the frontier life.
