This is exactly what I thought. Normal people call 911. Not only that but a 3 week old baby rarely leaves the mothers side….and if put to sleep there are monitors to hear. Wtf? The Parents to me are suspects.

Two people walked into a bar… eehh… I mean two people walked into the Sheriff’s station to report baby missing. Red flag alert! Common sense is that they would go into panic mode at home and call 911. Unless they thought the baby walked away or they were dazed and confused and left the baby somewhere. Weirdest and likely most tragic story in SCV so far this year

That makes no sense that they’d walk into the station together… Something’s up there. Even if they don’t hv a phone or something, you would run to your neighbors and call 911. This is SUPER fishy.

I just said this in another post. A 3 week old baby rarely leaves the mothers side. Unless daddy is changing a diaper or the are sleeping. But in all cases there is a parent or a monitor. And I agree. Just a diaper? Not ok

Wait…they went to the station instead of calling the cops? The left the house from where the 3 week old baby went missing? I’m sorry, but I would investigate the parents. Something seems off in this story. I feel sorry for the baby, I hope it’s safe.

What mother has a three week old in just a diaper and a beenie. Especially this time of year There is definitely something not right here why do you walk into the station and not call even if you don’t have a phone wouldn’t you be so hysterical neighbors here and call run to a neighbor house to call. I pray this baby is ok

I’m sorry, no new responsible mother lets a 3 week old out of their sight or ear shot. Nobody finds their baby missing and just gets in the car and drives to the police station. This is likely an apartment or small home. This is not a sprawling house with wings or many rooms in which to misplace your child. In less than 1500 sq feet where could the baby go? Let’s see, they could be drunk/high and left the baby somewhere or they’ve purposefully hid the body or a few additional equally bad things. Either way those parents clearly have something to do with this.
The mother was my friend she had no idea her bf killed her newborn baby. She came home to nurse on break when cops showed up cuz someone saw Matt walking out with a trash bag and didn’t come back and they knew they had a newborn, so it was a check in call. My friend had no idea where either was and when cops left he returns to tell her someone took the baby! Lied to her, and neither have a car.. They ran to report the missing baby cuz Matt told her it was better that way. Then they got there, she’s assuming baby is still alive and still clueless, and he cracked under pressure in interview and told them where baby was dumped. Then hey has to tell my friend who’s first born beautiful daughter was alive the night before was killed by her own father. So don’t I dare pass judgement on something u know nothing of!
Seems a little fishy to me.. Your baby is missing you don’t call 911 but instead get in your car and drive across town to the sheriffs station..

i agree there are a lot of odd things with this story. But there is no way we have all the information. I am sure several things have been left out. And who knows how you would react in this kind of situation. Shock sets in and you are unable to think logically. And I wonder if anybody else ever laid their baby down for a nap and then jumped in the shower or ran to a laundry room to do wash. There are so many different possibilities lets just hope for the best and not pass judgment.

This infuriates me why give birth you could of had abortion, or put up for adoption instead of killing this innocent baby. All these parents killing and beating there babies into comas etc is just ridiculous. There are so many options. R.I.P precious little baby.

Mother had no clue her new baby was dead until they were in the station and the father confessed in a separate room THEN they had to tell her they found her dead baby’s body.

Something is definitely not right here. Obviously. I’m praying that the turth will come out…but really, it’s too late. The sweet baby girl is dead. :( I have had so many friends that want kids, and can’t have them. To see things like this is just so upsetting. I don’t watch the news because it’s just too hard for me to stomach these things. Now, I hear so much on facebook that just breaks my heart! At least this baby is now with her heavenly father, and won’t know the horrible things about this world. Praying for the family…no matter what happened, they need our prayers!

Father killed the baby, didn’t tell mom who was at work. She came home to nurse like a good mother does, and didn’t find either of them, the father comes running saying someone took the baby,,, they take off on foot to the sheriffs, where father confessed and the poor mother had to find out the baby she thought was alive had just been found dead and killed by her own father. That’s the story ok? Go to bed people!

Hello Sherree Packer, I am so sorry for the loss your friend and you have. You say they ran to the sheriff’s station? I live in the same apartments, it would take more than one hour, probably two, to reach the sheriff’s department from here. Also, if they don’t have access to a vehicle, whose truck was baby Ellorrah found in? And how was the mother going to get back to work after her nursing break without a vehicle? I realize you don’t owe me answers, I’m probably asking in vain, but my stomach has been doing flip flops worrying for the poor baby. I hope justice will be done in the end, although that is no real comfort to the victim’s family. Again, sorry for this loss.

I’m so sorry for your friend, Sherree. This is so heartbreaking. Your babies father should be the person you can trust with your baby.
They’ve teleased mom and now arranging funeral. A very generous man offered a donation of a handmade casket for baby. I was up all night posting abt this fundraiser will also be on the news again tonight.
I know everyone is jumping on this guy but it could have been an accident and he panicked.
I too want to see what the cause of death was.
My daughter knew Matt when he was 13,14. He went to our church and went through confirmation with her. He was a very sweet kid and was never violent. I know he may have had issues with drugs in later life but that does not make him a monster. He was so proud of his new baby girl, posting pictures of her to all of his friends.
My prayers go out for this beautiful baby girl,now in heaven I believe, and the mother and father.
