The recent rash of expensive bicycle thefts across the western Santa Clarita Valley continued Thursday when an expensive triathlon training bike was taken shortly after 1 p.m. from a garage on Parklane Way in Valencia.
Sheriff’s deputues are looking for a trio of men who reportedly fled in a pickup truck and rammed the car of someone who tried to follow them. The three men are described as male Hispanics in their 20s, one wearing a black T-shirt and grey pants.
The suspects allegedly went into the garage at a home in the 27000 block of Parklane Way and took a Scott mountain bike worth $2,000, putting it in the back of an older model, full-sized silver Ford pickup truck with a square white camper shell.
A witness who tried to stop them from leaving and began following them in a red vehicle was hit when the suspects turned the truck around and deliberately rammed the witness’ car.
The white truck should have red paint transfer and front-end damage.
Anyone with information is asked to call the SCV Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
