[SCV Economic Development Corp.] – The San Fernando Valley Business Journal placed five Santa Clarita Valley firms on its annual list of the area’s  fastest-growing private companies.

With more than $5.4 million in revenue in 2010 and a 241.4% three-year growth rate Canon Recruiting Group LLC, came in at #3 on the list. Headquartered in Santa Clarita, the staffing firm specializes in executive level filling positions in the banking, insurance and information technology fields.

Making their debut on the list at #10 is Scorpion Design, a leading provider of website design and internet marketing for law firms and attorneys. In 2010 Scorpion rang up $8.2 million in revenue and 143.3% three-year growth rate.

Joining Scorpion among the technology service companies is Nexus IS. Nexus IS, one of the largest developers of technology solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in the country, ranked #47, with revenues of $205.1 million and a three-year growth rate of 22.1%.

Also new to the list for 2011 is design-builder, AMG & Associates, which ranked #58. Despite another slow year for new construction, the firm managed to hammer out $12.2 million in revenue for 2010 and a 9% three-year growth rate.

Landing at #60, Wesco Aircraft Holdings posted $656 million in revenue and 40% three-year growth rate. The Valencia-based aircraft hardware and parts supplier, which recently completed its IPO, controls approximatley 10 percent of the $6.5 billion global market for hardware, bearings, electronic components and machined parts.

As a positive sign for the greater San Fernando Valley economy, the 2011 list featured twenty more firms that the previous year (for a total of 60), with 41 new companies total. This year’s list features firms from a diverse array of industries, including insurance, marketing, real estate and financial services, among others.
