Nothing beats a beautiful spring day in Santa Clarita! I hope you and your family have an opportunity to get out into the community and enjoy some terrific events being held in our City.

The annual Earth Arbor Day Festival is being held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Central Park. The Festival will feature six themed zones, including: Energy, Community, Eco, Water Conservation, Tree and an Alternative Transportation Zone. Kids can get creative planting flowers, repurposing t-shirts, and making bird feeders, while enjoying live entertainment and a variety of other hands-on activities. Tours of the Community Garden will also be available. Check it all out at: greensantaclarita.com/earth-arbor-day.
Also in April, the City will host the 21st annual Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio. The festival at Melody Ranch runs from April 26-27, with partner events happening earlier in the week at venues throughout the area. This exciting western festival is an amazing opportunity to visit a real, working movie ranch located right here in our community. For ticket information, visit cowboyfestival.org or contact the ticket office at (661)250-3735.
In Old Town Newhall our “Thursdays at Newhall” events offer something every Thursday to enjoy. Don’t miss the reinvigorated Art Slam (interactive art event) on the first Thursday, JAM Sessions (musical movement) on the second Thursday in partnership with the Ford Theatre Foundation and the James Irvine Foundation, and the popular SENSES on Main (street party) on the third Thursday. For a list of times and themes, check out ThursdaysatNewhall.com.
