Karis Frankian
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Master’s College women’s track and field team teamed competed at the Westmont Classic, posting a handful of new personal records along the way.
Starting things off in the high jump, Tess Thompson’s clearance of 1.35 meters gave her a third-place finish amongst the competing women athletes. Thompson then ran in the 100-meter dash, placing eighth overall with a time of 14.08. Thompson finished out the day in the 200-meter dash, completing the race in 28.87 and placing third in her heat.
In the 1500-meter event, Karis Frankian came in second-place with a blazing time of 4:38, while Morgan Pedrick notched a new personal best by placing fourth at 4:45. Notably, Abigail Frankian finished with a time of 4:58.
Later in the day, Karis Frankian and Pedrick posted times of 2:23 and 2:27 in the 800-meter run, respectively.
Next Friday, TMC will travel to San Diego to compete for big marks at the SDSU Aztec Invitational.
