Fire officials are reporting a brush fire near the Northbound 5 freeway in Castaic north of Lake Hughes Road is now 90 percent contained.
The fire is approximately 15 acres and no active flames are visible.
Los Angeles Fire Department aircraft have been released.
The fire was reported at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Twelve engines, three copters and 115 firefighters responded according to the LA County Fire Department.
At least two traffic collisions have been reported in the area. Freeway ramps in the area are closed. Some motorists apparently don’t understand what an orange cone means and have been driving around them, exacerbating the situation for CHP, sheriff and fire personnel.
A Sigalert was updated at 4 p.m. as follows:
* Southbound 5 just north of the lower crossover: Nos. 1 and 2 lanes open; 3 and 4 lanes closed for unknown duration.
* Northbound 5 just north of lower crossover: Nos. 1 and 2 lanes open; 3 and 4 lanes closed for unknown duration.

We just got into the ramp at exit 176 Castaic lake, we are moving slow bumper to bumper, four lanes open but looks like parking lot.
