johnmusellaThe Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced John Musella as the 2017 Chairman for the Board.

Musella has been an active community leader in the Santa Clarita Valley for more than a dozen years having been recognized as one of the 51 most influential people in the community.

“I am honored and looking forward to serving as Chairman next year as we work to build a better, stronger more vibrant Chamber of Commerce with our core focus of serving as the leading business advocacy group in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Musella. “We represent businesses of all sizes in the third largest city in LA County and one of the largest bio-tech centers in California.”

Musella owns his own public relations firm, representing several high-profile businesses in the SCV and Los Angeles. His company, The Musella Group, is a full-service public affairs and corporate communications firm, serving a broad array of industries, with a core practice area of real estate land use development and entitlement support. The Musella Group’s offerings encompass media relations, community relations, government affairs, crisis communications, strategic planning, executive and brand positioning, event coordination and management and message development.

“Over the years the city of Santa Clarita has established itself as one of the most business friendly cities in the County of Los Angeles and I’m confident that John Musella will work hard to continue that legacy,” said Santa Clarita City Mayor, Bob Kellar. “John is a local business owner who has been active in Santa Clarita for more than a dozen years and we’re fortunate to have someone of his caliber to take the helm of the Chamber next year.”

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has a growing presence in the SCV and is continuously reaching out to support businesses of all sizes through development, advocacy and networking. The Chamber is also helping lead the way in the development of future business leaders via its annual leadership academy and professional networking groups.

“Since I began as President and CEO of the Chamber, I’ve had the privilege to see John work tirelessly for our business community this year. He will be a great asset to the Chamber, the City and the entire Valley as its 2017 Chairman,” said Lois Bauccio, President and CEO of the SCV Chamber.

“John is a tremendous leader for our local business community and we look forward to continuing to work with the SCV Chamber under his leadership next year as we grow our economic base and create more new jobs in Santa Clarita,” said Holly Schroeder, President and CEO of the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation.

Musella takes the reigns of the Chamber on January 1, 2017, but will be ceremonially installed on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the organization’s annual Awards and Installation Gala being held at the TPC at Valencia, which honors local businesses and business leaders.
