Yes, that’s the organization the was funded almost entirely out of Newhall/Lennar funds right before they went bankrupt. Why? Newhall/Lennar/Five points saved $53 miilion by getting grants to fund that their 126/commerce center drive bridge to nowhere at public expense. Then he and his organization promoted measure M which funded the HOV lanes that Newhall Ranch needed for their project. All for a measley $500,000 or so donation. What a payback at tax payer’s expense = infrastructure for new development while the rest of use suffer with freeway lanes that are only bearable and now a huge gas tax.
So what is a road’s guy doing on the Parks Commission? Could it have anything to do with Lennar trying to get the City to take over that open space for them in Pico Canyon? Better keep your eyes open and hold on to your wallets!
