The City of Santa Clarita will host a meeting for nonprofit organizations interested in learning more about the 2012 Community Services and Arts Grants on Monday, Oct. 15, at noon at the Santa Clarita Activities Center.
At the meeting City staff will review information about funding categories, grant amounts, timelines, insurance and budget requirements, and general criteria evaluated as part of the grant review process, in addition to answering questions.
“Arts and Community Services programs bring our community together,” said Mayor Frank Ferry. “The City’s grant programs make it possible for local organizations to develop and deliver services that support resident needs and inspire creativity and imagination.”
Each year the City funds Arts and Community Services grants for local non-profit organizations to support innovative and crucial programs and projects that serve residents. Past funding has been awarded to support equipment upgrades, after school enrichment programs, facility renovation projects, community art projects and performances at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
