Vino 100’s seven-part summer wine education classes continue Thursday, Aug, 25, with a lesson in “summer whites.”
Participants will be introduced to interesting and unfamiliar white varietals that are nice alternatives to the usual selections. The crisp, aromatic grapes are perfect summer wines.
The class is $25 per person and is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 28112 Newhall Ranch Rd. in Valencia. RSVP required.
Classes are taught by Brent Erickson, a 16-year veteran of the food and wine industry. He worked as a chef and built one of the largest wine lists in New York. Today he represents Quintessential Wines, a direct importer of fine wines from around the world.
Upcoming classes include: The Nuances of Pinot Noir (Sept. 8), Blends (Sept. 22), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (Oct. 6) and Bubbles (Oct. 20).
Discounts are offered to patrons who sign up for two or more classes. To reserve a seat call 661-294-6886 or visit vino100valencia.com.
