U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group of Valencia has been selected to operate two employee health centers at the Defense Supply Center Columbus, a major military supply depot in Ohio.
Under the contract, U.S. HealthWorks will provide comprehensive medical services to more than 6,500 civilian employees and active military personnel, including wellness training, injury and illness assessment and treatment, vaccinations, a variety of exams, and physicals for military personnel about to be deployed.
“We are excited to partner with DSCC to provide high-quality, on-site healthcare for employees,” said Dr. Thomas Hadley, regional medical director for U.S. HealthWorks, which operates six other medical centers in Ohio.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Valencia off of Tourney Road, U.S. HealthWorks employs 2,700 people including 600 medical providers and serves more than 10,000 patients each day at 169 locations in 15 states.
Defense Supply Center Columbus started as a supply depot in 1918 and grew into the world’s largest military installation during World War II. Today it encompasses 530 acres and supplies $3 billion worth of materiel annually to the U.S. armed forces.
