The Los Angeles County supervisors are expected to approve a number of traffic controls Tuesday that should deter speeding and increase visibility around the West Creek Academy elementary school in Valencia.
Public Works Director Gail Farber is proposing the following speed limits, stop signs or -lights, and no-parking zones:
* Adopt a traffic regulation order establishing a 50 mph speed limit on Golden Valley Road between Dorothy Street and Plum Canyon Road;
*Adopt a traffic regulation order establishing stop controls for eastbound and westbound traffic on West Hills Drive at West Creek Academy driveway establishing multiway stop controls;
*Adopt a traffic regulation order establishing stop controls for northbound traffic on West Creek Academy driveway at West Hills Drive establishing multiway stop controls;
*Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting stopping at any time on the south side of West Hills Drive between a point 255 feet west of Copper Hill Drive and Copper Hill Drive;
*Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting stopping at any time on the north side of West Hills Drive between Copper Hill Drive and West Creek Academy driveway;
*Adopt a traffic regulation order prohibiting stopping at any time on both sides of West Creek Drive between Copper Hill Drive and Vista Del Rio Drive.
