Joining The Master’s College women’s cross country and track programs in 2014 is Abigail Frankian of Saugus.
“I chose The Master’s College for the incredible team atmosphere and camaraderie both the cross country and track teams have,” commented Frankian on her choice of colleges. “I am most looking forward to having several new sisters in Christ, and teammates that can push me as I help push them to all be the best athletes and people we are capable of being.”
Frankian, younger sister to the decorated Lady Mustang distance running duo of Micayla and Karis, is slated to graduate from Saugus High School in the spring of 2014 and is expected to make an immediate impact at The Master’s College.
In her time at Saugus, Frankian has been a member of the California Scholastic Federation (CSF) for the past three years, was named a Junior Honors Scholar in her junior year, and is currently an Honors Scholar. Frankian has also been a member of National Honors Society (NHS) for the past three years.
When asked what she looks to accomplish as a Lady Mustang, Frankian responded by saying, “I want to help out the team as best I can, and hopefully that includes becoming GSAC champions, and being on a top three team at nationals next year. Personally, I just want to improve to be the best athlete I can be.”
Academically, Frankian plans to major in major in Kinesiology & Physical Education in order to prepare for a career in nursing.
The Lady Mustang cross country program manufactured strong marks in 2013, producing four All-GSAC cross country athletes: Karis Frankian, Katrina Graham, Rachel Ingoldsby, and Hannah Kellerman.
Looking to another fruitful 2014-15 season, the Lady Mustangs will be graduating key three seniors, but returning six seasoned veterans.
