The City of Santa Clarita and the American Red Cross are teaming up to host a Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.
According to the American Red Cross, one blood donation can help save up to three lives. There is always a need for blood in the community and nationwide. National statistics from the American Red Cross show someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds.
Residents interested in signing up to donate blood at the Community Blood Drive should CLICK HERE and sign up for a donation time slot. On donation day, participants will come to the Century Room where they will be greeted and evaluated to ensure they are eligible to donate. All participants must have a valid ID to donate.
All Community Blood Drive donors will receive a coupon for a free Cold Stone Creamery, two tickets to the Laugh Factory, two tickets to the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live and a voucher for two discounted tickets to an L.A. Kings or Anaheim Ducks game.
For more information about the Community Blood Drive, please contact Amanda Santos at (661) 255-4923 or asantos@santa-clarita.com.
