Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man on the southbound on-ramp to Interstate 5 at Valencia Boulevard.

An victim’s’s body was reportedly lying on the ground at the bottom of the on-ramp.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His cause of death has not been determined, CHP officials said.

Several motorists came close to hitting the victim when the incident was first reported Tuesday at 8:18 p.m. Early indicate one did so. Several civilian vehicles stopped at the side of the freeway.

Both the northbound and southbound on-ramps to Interstate 5 at Valencia were closed.

Coroner’s officials were on scene as of 10:15 p.m.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.

  29. As the city purges people out, many homeless & vagrants seem to want to live in the burbs too. Under the freeways though. Sad. I just can’t imagine not having a home or family

  31. Moved up here a year and a half ago from Sylmar and there been already 4 suicides I guy got hit while jogging and another in a motorcycle accident and a young boy who got hit while crossing the,street so sad
