Community: Canyon Country West: Zone 7 – Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information for the week of 11/30/2015-12/06/2015
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes are currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives:
An aggravated assault occurred near the 26300 block of Rainbow Glen Drive. One suspect was arrested after she pointed a hand gun at her neighbors during a verbal dispute.
A grand theft occurred near the 20800 block of Santa Clara Street. Person(s) unknown cut the chain link fence to the location and stole an unknown amount of recyclable items from within.
A grand theft auto occurred near the 26800 block of Oak Avenue. Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s covered trailer which contained approximately $25,000 worth of work items within.
A petty theft occurred near the 16700 block of Sierra Highway. Person(s) unknown stole approximately $380 worth of sheet metal near the above location.
A shoplifting occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive. One suspect was arrested for taking store items and making no attempt to pay for the items.
***FRIENDLY REMINDER*** With the holidays approaching and people ordering items and having them sent via US Mail, FedEx, UPS, etc., please be cognizant to not let your package sit on your front porch for long periods of time. Every year there are numerous incidents of packages being taken from Santa Clarita residents. People are out there looking for packages unattended and they will steal your package with no remorse.
