A man who was arrested at the Valencia library on suspicion of annoying or molesting a teenage girl last month pleaded no contest in court on Tuesday and was sentenced to 45 days in county jail.
Christopher Cline, 25, of Canyon Country pleaded no contest to one count of child molesting, said Ricardo Santiago, spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Cline has been ordered to attend 52 counseling sessions, or one session per week for a year, is prohibited from entering any Santa Clarita Valley Public Libraries and is required to register as a sex offender for life, said Santiago.
Cline was arrested on Sept. 19 after he allegedly approached the 14-year-old girl who was sitting at a computer and handed her a note asking her to “call him later.”

The info is a little vague in regard to the seriousness of what happened. In one place it says the culprit was arrested on suspicion of “annoying or molesting” the victim. We’d probably lose most of the Santa Clarita population if they were imprisoned for “annoying” someone.
Marc Tyler ??
Only 45 days ?
WTF. ONLY 45 days in jail!!!!! Now I see why people want to take justice into their own hands. SMH.
Which he’ll actually only serve half of before he’s right back at it!
These people can’t be rehabilitated!
What a joke!!! 45 days SMH!!
So glad our children’s safety is priority with these sentencing judges! Grrr
Read the damn article, people! Sheesh. He gave his number to someone.
He may have thought the minor appeared older than she was and a left a note which seems very non threatening. It seems like this got blown way out proportion or the story is lacking many details regarding the seriousness of this encounter.
45 days!?!?
