1941 - Julius Dietzmann family of Castaic arrested as German enemy aliens [story]
Julius Dietzmann

Air quality Friday will be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley, Los Angeles County mountain areas, the San Gabriel Valley, the San Fernando Valley and southwest Los Angeles and unhealthy for all individuals in the East San Gabriel Valley, according to an alert Thursday from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, advises people living or working in those areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.

Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in unhealthy outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.

For current maps and forecast, visit the AQMD website at www.aqmd.gov/home/air-quality.
