Any arrests ?
The first word of this post said “3 Arests”
Question is, how many of those whopping three were actually for DUI?

^Laura –
First words on this post are… 3 arrests…
Yes, they managed to catch 1 possibly drunk driver after delaying 1154 other drivers. The usual efficiency.
It’s more about checking papers :)
Excellent!!!!!
Three arrests are better than one, and why did 2 show up with no license…… Amazing
3 arrests – 1 for DUI and 2 for no license
They were all breaking the law, period.
False. The state of California decided that DUI check points are NOT a violation of your fourth amendment. Thank your Supreme Court who has decided that any amendment has “exceptions”. Perfectly legal. Your best bet is to not drink and drive … Or leave California.
But it didn’t stop a drunk driver accident just up the road. Maybe if some of those officers were on patrol instead of stationary the drunk drive might have been stopped before he crashed his car.
You make it sound like every officer is stationed at the checkpoint. There are plenty of other officers assigned to the rest of the streets.
My first checkpoint.
I was sort of hoping that after reading the public reaction to their last 10 or so checkpoints where they caught 0 drunk drivers, they had reconsidered and decided to do some patrolling instead of these things, but I guess not. Interesting that this one was not announced ahead of time like the others – I guess they think that will somehow help them catch more people. Catching ONE person out of over 1000 checked is nothing to brag about.
we ran the press release ahead of time
I don’t mind the checkpoints… Especially if it catches some idiot who may have killed someone.
It only takes one drunk driver to change a family’s life forever. ..
At knott Duh
Good job! One less drunk on the road could save a life
