“Baby Jefferson Gomes was found. He is was not harmed and he is safe. Suspect Jeffrey Gomes has been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing…Thank you to the public, media and everyone who helped for their tireless efforts in the search.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff has issued an Amber Alert for a two-month-old Asian boy, Jefferson Gomes, who was taken by his biological father, 42-year-old Jeffrey Michael Gomes, after a domestic violence incident on Friday.
Baby Gomes was last seen at approximately 1:20 p.m. inside suspect Gomes’s vehicle, a white 2007 Chevy 2500 pickup truck, California license plate 02390P1.
The truck was last seen towing an approximately 28-feet-long toy hauler trailer.
The suspect fled from the area of Zenobia Way, just north of the 138 Freeway, Pearblossom Highway, in Lebec, and is believed to be heading north on Interstate 5.
The suspect, a male Hispanic, was last seen wearing a black shirt, grey hat and blue jeans. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Baby Gomes was last seen wearing a dark blue onesie.
If you see the suspect or recognize the vehicle, immediately call 911.
