[Supv. Antonovich] – The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s writ, which challenged the release of serial rapist Christopher Evans Hubbart to Los Angeles County, was denied Tuesday, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced.
“The court’s ruling is very disappointing,” said Supervisor Antonovich. “This court ignored the years of residency established in Santa Clara County and the fact that Hubbart has no family ties to Los Angeles County.”
The D.A. asserted that Hubbart has had no nexus to Los Angeles County since 1972 — with the exception of a brief two-month period when Hubbart was paroled to San Bernardino County but lived in Los Angeles County.
Hubbart is a violent sex predator believed to have raped as many as 40 women in a 10 year period. He has admitted to raping 25 women in the Los Angeles area in the early 1970’s and an additional 15 were raped in the San Francisco Bay area in the early 1980’s. His previous paroles were revoked numerous times due to assaulting women, his mental condition and threat to public safety.
The District Attorney’s Appellate Division is evaluating all available options in light of this ruling.

I find Judge Brown’s decision absolutely appalling. It has already been proven fact this man is NOT to be trusted. He is a SERIAL RAPIST! Judge Brown shame on you. Already there are MANY individuals who I have seen comments on this stating, if YOU feel this guy is not a threat, and putting him on the EAST SIDE OF PALMDALE is “ok” and “safe” then why don’t you place him in YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD? Instead of allowing this guy to run amuck, and potentially harming possibly a young girl, just think about this: You have a wife, sister, mother, aunt, and maybe a daughter. Would you want this poor excuse of a human being to reside in YOUR AREA? It doesn’t matter if the area you place him in is not populated, he can still get around. What are you thinking? Your supposed to be an educated individual who is a JUDGE and is also to take into consideration the safety of others when placing him. Instead of placing him in society, keep this scumbag locked up. Casterating him wont stop him. There has been a case already where an former prisoner was turned loose after removing his “manhood”, only for him to rape a young teen with a pipe! Do you think placing this rapist under house arrest or a anklet on him will work?! Obviously you have NO CLUE on the way this man thinks.
Judge Brown, you were placed in your seat for a reason. You were chosen to see to it victims will not remain victims, rather instead you have displayed by this action, YOUR DECISON to place him back into society. SHAME ON YOU! WHY DONT YOU OPEN YOUR DOORS TO THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A HUMAN BEING?! You obviously have no ethics, no morals, no integrity what-so-ever. You are the reason why our judicial system has become so corrupt.
