The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation will present an art show, a powwow, a series of country music concerts and a pet adoption fair at William S. Hart Regional Park in September and October.
Here’s the calendar:
29th Annual SCAA Art Classic – Hart Hall
Sept. 29 – Fine Art Juried Show & Gala from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Refreshments, live music and awards ceremony (tickets required).
Sept. 30 – Fine Arts Exhibition – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (free public viewing)
25th Annual Native American Powwow & Craft Fair – Hart picnic areas
Oct. 6 – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 7 – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Native American performing groups, arts & crafts and food vendors. Free Admission.
ALSO: The Friends of Hart Park will hold a discount book sale in the Hart Park Gift Shop. Thousands of books will be available, many for 25 cents to $1.
The historic homes in Heritage Junction will be closed. The Saugus Train Station Museum will reopen the following Saturday, October 13. The homes in Quester Court will be open for tours November 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
“Goin’ Country at Hart” – Hart Hall & Patio
Oct. 12 – 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Live Band: Mary White & Magnolia Drawl
Oct. 19 – 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Live Band: Moldy Marvin & Hwy 138
Oct. 26 – 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., DJ Al Ewing spinning country, oldies and more by request
All dates have fine arts & crafts, Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Co., food trucks, two dance floors with line dance instructors.
Admission: $10 donation.
Bow Wows & Meows Pet Fair – Picnic areas
Oct. 14 – 11 a.m.
Dog show and entertainment, vendor fair, pet adoptions, raffles, food court. Free admission.
