2.7 Earthquake Hits Placerita Canyon

A small earthquake shook Santa Clarita Thursday at 6:08 p.m. Caltech reported a magnitude of 2.6, then increased it to 2.7. USGS mapping shows the quake struck in Placerita Canyon, inside the city of Santa Clarita. It was felt throughout the city but no trouble was immediately reported.
