Newhall, Zone 6

This past week, Newhall (Zone 6) had eight reported Part-1 crimes. Of those crimes Newhall saw two robberies, two petty thefts, three vehicle burglaries, and one vehicle was reported stolen.

Time Warner Cable Company reported six batteries were stolen from a cable control box located in the area of 21500 Placerita Canyon Road. This incident is being investigated as a petty theft (ref -07053).

A victim reported that an unknown suspect stole her lei and a square sign from the front door of her apartment. The sign was red, white, and blue with USA printed on it. This incident was reported in the 23400 block of Wiley Canyon Road (ref -07126).

A 1997 blue Honda Civic was reported stolen from the 24600 block of Spruce Street in Newhall. The vehicle was parked on the street when it was stolen (ref -07144).

A bank robbery occurred on Saturday, May 25th 2013 at approximately 10:30 a.m. from the Bank of America located at 24740 Valley Street in Newhall. Deputies located and arrested a 23 year0old male from Palmdale on suspicion of robbery (ref -07139). (STORY HERE.)

A robbery was reported from the Vons supermarket located at 24160 Lyons Avenue in Newhall. This incident involved two people allegedly stealing beer from the location and confrontation ensued with loss prevention officers. Two people were taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing (ref -06903).

Three vehicle burglaries were reported this week. In each of the incidents a window was smashed and items were stolen. These vehicle burglaries occurred in the following locations:

(ref -07133) 25000 block of Peachland Avenue

(ref -07134) Everett Drive / Lyons Avenue
